Diana in Helsinki to speak on participation and transparency

Diana Wallis was in Helsinki yesterday to give a keynote speech on 'Participation, democracy and the role of civil society in the EU' alongside the President of Finland Mrs. Tarja Halonen and European Commission Vice-President Margot Wallström.

Later in the day Diana joined former Finnish Prime Minister Anneli Jäätteenmäki and Astrid Thors, Minister of Migration and European Affairs, in a seminar at the Finnish Parliament on the subject of Transparency in the European Parliament.
